Jerusalem: The Israeli military has confirmed launching airstrikes on Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen, focusing on military installations in the Ras Isa and Hodeidah regions.
In an official post on X (formerly Twitter), the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that its fighter jets targeted Houthi positions, hitting power plants and a seaport reportedly used for oil imports in the Ras Isa region.
These airstrikes come after Houthi rebels attempted to launch a rocket at Tel Aviv airport during the arrival of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s aircraft. The rocket was successfully intercepted by Israel’s defense systems, avoiding damage.
With rising regional tensions, Israel has expanded its military actions, extending beyond Gaza and Lebanon to engage Houthi forces in Yemen.
